The Bedpop Science Lab 2017

11th March 2017

This March, the BedPop Science Lab is back and bringing even more free hands-on STEM events to Bedford town centre. On Saturday 11th March, Bedford Central Library, the Higgins Bedford, the Quarry Theatre at St Luke’s, Basement @ Bunyan and Rogan’s Books will become pop up science labs, hosting dozens of workshops, demonstrations, experiments, challenges and activities.

From coding to codebreaking, engineering to animation, microscopes to model rocket cars, there will be dozens of ways to discover your inner scientist. A full programme of events is coming soon.

Last year’s BedPop Science Lab was such a success that we couldn’t wait to make this year’s even bigger and better. We’ve added three extra venues, with even more mind-blowing experiments, demonstrations and workshops. The Bletchley Park codecrackers are bringing an Enigma machine, Bedford Creative Arts are animating environments and you can even create your own cave paintings with Albion Archaeology. There’s definitely something for everyone!

BedPop Science Lab supporters include Colworth Park, Harpur Trust, You Can Book Me, Bedford Borough Council, Polam School and Bedford Creative Arts.
