Fun for all the family at Taste Bedford

Put your taste buds to the test with a special flavour quiz for kids. In association with food writer and flavour expert Jan Fullwood, Taste and Bedford Heights have developed a fun tasting workshop to encourage children to explore different flavours.

Sensory evaluation of food involves using the five senses: taste, touch, sight, smell and sound, and Jan’s mini workshop will have you using them all!

There’ll be something new to try from spices and essences to exotic fruit and veg. Take part in the quiz and be entered into the Prize Draw to win a family ticket to Wicksteed Park.

Suitable for ages 5-14.

Do you have a Greatest Showman fan in your family? We’ve got the Dreamscape Circus Arts team on hand all day, teaching juggling, globe walking, balancing, foot juggling and more.
The coaches are fifth and sixth generation circus performers, sharing their fascinating family history as well as their incredible skills.

Dreamscape Circus Arts provide classes for adults and children, workshops for schools, holiday clubs and community events.

Yo! Almost good enough to eat, this felted sushi is super quick and easy to make and artist Anne-Marie Stijelja will be running workshops throughout the day so you can make your own to take away.

The team from Canoe Trail will be messing about on the river, offering stand-up paddle boarding taster sessions and toasting S’mores on their open fire.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about outdoor survival skills and talk to Richard and the Canoe Trail guys about the activities they offer.

While you’re here, use pedal power to whizz up your own healthy fruit smoothie with Sustrans.

The festival is free entry and some children’s activities are free but some will have a small charge.
