June 16th, 11am to 5pm
Mill Meadows, The Embankment, Bedford.
If you came to Taste Bedford last summer, you’ll know that we had the perfect mix of great music, delicious food and incredible weather. This year, we’ve lined up two of the three, so let’s keep our fingers crossed for the sunshine and let the good times roll!
This year’s musical line-up brings some of Bedford’s best singer/songwriters to the Mill Meadows’ bandstand, all held together on the decks by DJ Prone.
Kicking off at midday we have Jeana, who started the band Healyum as a 12 year old in 2013 with siblings Katie and Jed. Jeana’s music has featured on BBC dramas and she is currently working on her very own solo music which she plans to release in the Autumn.
At 1pm, Sunsinger and the High Seas take to the bandstand. Sunsinger is Bedford-based singer-songwriter, Simon Gutteridge. Pull up a deckchair, grab a pint from the pop up pub and enjoy the acousticy-pop-folk-Americana vibe.
Ene is a singer, song-creator and poet, drawing inspiration from R&B, Jazz & Blues traditions. She takes to the stage at 2pm, and the elegant melodies of her ukulele create unique Islandy tones and Caribbean beats. Her stage presence and sense of humour captivates audiences, bringing them closer to the music. We can’t wait!
Headliners, the Wholls will be rocking the bandstand at 3pm.
We wrap up the day with the sounds of Bedford-based singer/songwriter Elijah Miller. Elijah headlined his first show at Camden’s Dublin Castle in May and we’re thrilled he’s here at Taste.
